Boudoir has become very popular yet very misunderstood. Let’s take a few moments and bust a few of those myths!
1. I’M TOO OLD
Nothing could be further from the truth! The fastest growing area of photography currently is boudoir for women over 40 years old. How much older? The sky is the limit. It’s not uncommon for women of all ages to do a boudoir session.
2. ISN’T BOUDOIR JUST PORN?
Absolutely not! Boudoir is about feeling confident, proud, and yes, sexy. It’s about giving yourself or someone else something special. As for the sexy part, that’s it’s up to you! Many women use the experience as a way to be empowered in their own body. Other’s use the experience to give a special gift to someone special. There is no right or wrong answer, but boudoir is not porn.
3. DO I HAVE TO BE NUDE?
No! Remember it’s about being confident and allowing yourself to shine. Many women wear lingerie or a baggy shirt from their partner. Some women wear a robe or use fabric as a wrap. It’s up to you!
4. MY IMAGES WON’T BE PRIVATE
Not true. Your images will be delivered to you via private hidden URL and a custom password giving you 2 layers of privacy. You can download the images to your own device. Only someone you choose to share the images with has access.
